Obverse: Central cross-pattée, arrow in field above, inscription around +EADGAR REX ANG (NG ligate). Reverse: Central cross-pattée, horizontal S in field above, inscription around +IGOLFERĐ·ES MOT.
Unusual field marks, scarce moneyer. Good tone and metal, large old chip. Evidence of die recutting in the reverse legend. These dies EMC: 1006.0566 (SCBI: 6/566, National Museum of Antiquities Scotland), obverse die EMC: 1002.0703 (SCBI: 2/703, Hunterian Museum Glasgow). Very fine.
